Mia and I recently paid a visit to southern Sweden. What a great country… And the nature… Wow. We had a full program and had the time of our lives. KLM flew us there within 1 to the lovely town Linköping.
The open air museum reminded me of our own Zuiderzee Museum. The authentic houses in green surroundings, gave us a really good idea of the early Swedish life.
Mia and I stayed at resort Sommarhagen. The owner, Marianne, loves (and I mean LOVES) spoiling her guests. Gosh, how she pampered us… The food is amazing. We got to taste deer and really good local cheeses. The resort offers some really good outdoor activities. We went on a hiking and canoeing trip and went horseback riding through the woods. But the best was yet to come. A safari tour and picnic, with live music from our guide by the campfire.
Time to move on to our next destination, Norrköping. Where we went wishing in the city centre and experienced the amazing Swedish fashion taste in the local shops. In Mia’s words: “I want to live here, there are hipsters everywhere!!”
