As Fieke already told you in her article: Verplicht op reis. Travel enrich your life and therefore it is a good idea to go traveling alone. Personally, I never been traveling alone, but it’s on my bucket list now;)! Your knowledge of the world improves and you get to spend some time in totally different culture. It’s going to make you realize how fortunate you are to be able to travel. Feeling save is obviously super important, especially if you are traveling alone. But you always have to look out for yourself. Read about the country before you leave and always be alert. This is a list of safe countries to travel alone, and they are also stunning!
Iceland is a pleasant country to travel through. There is little crime, but the only thing you should keep in mind is the natural security. Because Iceland lays on a plate boundary that moves apart. But that is what makes this country unique and worth visiting. The scenery is breathtaking and you really feel like in a dream landscape. We experienced it, check the articles with tips about Iceland here.
Scandinavia is obviously not one country but one by one, these countries are safe. This also emerges from the study by the World Justice Project. The Nordic countries score high at this point. The nature in these countries is beautiful and you can see it in so many ways. Each country has its own unique places and nature. Save some extra money because Scandinavia is quite expensive.
Together with my family, I made a tour of four weeks, but you can also do it on your own! I must say it is a pleasant country to travel through it. The people are very friendly and you can really enjoy the photogenic nature. This country will never get bored, every time you see something beautiful again looming in the distance. I advise you to travel by car but for a solo traveler perhaps not as convenient. The train is also a very good alternative!
Japan also ranks high on the list. There is little crime and you can have peace of mind at night to walk the streets. The geographical location of this country is not optimal. But this moment aside, travels through this country is absolutely possible. Manon has Japan as once visited, read her experiences here
